Even if Artificial Intelligence is a concept that was already spread in the first half of the previous century and had its boom in the 1980s, it has never been so much on fashion as it is today. In fact, we are now seeing machines learning how to solve complex problems and accomplish tasks that, until a few years ago, could be done only by (expert) humans. In this seminar, we will see together how these machines learn and how they can be used in real world cases, with a special focus on Deep Learning in Medicine. In conclusion, we will try to infer the future applications of this technology and how it will (inevitably) change our world.
