About the Event
"The development of Perovskite LEDs and Laser. Research webinar with Imec and Fluxim" presented by Dr. Karim Elkhouly, Imec R&D, nano electronics and digital technologies; Chaired by Dr. Sara Battista, Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC).
This webinar explored the forefront of research into the cutting-edge research on perovskite LED technology, focusing on their utilization in lasers and the simulation modeling of PeroLEDs.
Karim Elkhouly from imec, a joint first author alongside co-authors Goldberg, I., Zhang, X, et al, will present their groundbreaking paper, "Electrically Assisted Amplified Spontaneous Emission in Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes," published in Nature Photonics in 2024. This work introduces a transparent PeLED architecture that combines low optical losses with exceptional current-injection properties, marking significant advancements in thin-film laser diodes utilizing metal halide perovskites.
Moreover, PhD student Simon Zeder from Fluxim/École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) will showcase extended simulation work conducted by Fluxim, expanding upon the discoveries outlined in the paper.
This webinar promises a comprehensive blend of scientific exploration and practical simulation applications. It provides an invaluable opportunity for researchers, students, and industry professionals to gain insights into the latest developments in perovskite LED technology from leading experts in the field.
